This site is a collection of photographs taken by Rich Stone, the majority of which were shot at the world’s original 'Dog Beach', located in Ocean Beach, California. It was these Dog Beach Photos that were the inspiration behind DogCaptions.

The "F-14 Gallery" photographs, as well as other Navy aircraft, were taken during my tours as a Navy pilot.

The "Cockpit Views" were taken riding jumpseats going to and from work in my current occupation.

Dog Beach Photo Dog Beach Photo
Dog Beach, a virtual Disneyland for canines, it is one of the most popular places for dogs and their two legged companions alike. The dogs love the freedom and infinite smells. We like it for our dogs, not to mention that the sand castles stick together much better there.

F-14 Tomcat F-14 Tomcat
I have included this portfolio as a tribute to the F-14 Tomcat, which finished its career in September 2006. These photos were taken while flying the Tomcat during the 80's and 90's. Do not confuse this portfolio with my collection of dog photos. There are no canines in these aircraft, although there are those that believe there is little difference between a Naval Aviator and our four legged friends.
Lou and his Golden's Lou and his Golden's
Lou lives on Long Island with his wife Katie and three children. Then there's the Retrievers. Sophie, Chica and Terence. They don't have dog parks and dog beaches on Long Island. They have creeks and lagoons and deep pothole covered roads and very cold winters that blend into giant insect muggy summers. Seasons are so much better on TV. Lou always swims with his Golden's because he knows they will always rescue him after he sinks.
