Dog Beaches, virtual playgrounds for canines, are one of the most popular places for dogs and their two legged companions. The dogs love the freedom and infinite smells. We like them because sand castles stick together much better there.

I have included this portfolio as a tribute to the F-14 Tomcat, which finished its career in September 2006. These photos were taken while flying the Tomcat during the 80's and 90's. Do not confuse this portfolio with my collection of dog photos. There are no canines in these aircraft, although there are those that believe there is little difference between a Naval Aviator and our four legged friends.

Lou lives on Long Island with his wife Katie and three children. Then there's the Retrievers. Sophie, Chica and Terence. They don't have dog parks and dog beaches on Long Island. They have creeks and lagoons and deep pothole covered roads and very cold winters that blend into giant insect muggy summers. Seasons are so much better on TV. Lou always swims with his Golden's because he knows they will always rescue him after he sinks.
